Help for caregivers
The annual Caregivers' Conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 21 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 210 Holiday Court in Annapolis. At the workshop, family and professional caregivers, social workers, nurses and others can get information and access resources. Free respite care is being offered by Active Day Center of Pasadena and Active Day Center of Annapolis. Call by April 13 for reservations. A $15 registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch as well as materials, speakers, and vendor presentations. Social work continuing education units are an additional $10. The Annapolis Rotary Club and Annapolis Rotaract Club will host the first Naptown Brew Fest, "Celebrating the Art of Beer from Around the World," from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 27 at the Annapolis Maritime Museum, 723 Second St. in Eastport. Event will feature a wide selection of beers from around the world, food and live music. Proceeds will be used by the Rotary of Annapolis Foundation for a project to help build simple houses for people in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Tickets are $45 in advance, $50 at the door.

'Alice,' the musical
