FIRST TOUCHDOWN The first touchdown of training camp wasn’t registered by the offense, but the defense. Cornerback Lardarius Webb stepped in front of a Joe Flacco pass intended for wide receiver Anquan Boldin on the third play of full-team drills and returned the interception at least 30 yards to the end zone.
PAINTER’S PROBLEMS Quarterback Curtis Painter struggled with his accuracy. While he threw a few decent balls, Painter had three attempts intercepted – one each by linebacker Ricky Brown, rookie cornerback Asa Jackson and rookie safety Omar Brown.
KICKING COMPETITION Both Billy Cundiff and Justin Tucker enjoyed perfect days. Cundiff converted all four of his field-goal attempts, while Tucker, an undrafted rookie, went 5-of-5.

STANDOUT PERFORMER LaQuan Williams was flagged for holding, but the second-year receiver made a few strong grabs. He hauled in a bullet off a back-shoulder pass from Flacco and then beat free safety Ed Reed to catch another pass from Flacco during a seven-on-seven passing drill.
NEWCOMER WATCH Ricky Brown, who was signed by the team Wednesday, had a pretty solid day for a guy in his first outing. In addition to the interception, the former Oakland Raider also tipped another pass that he almost caught and held up fairly well in run support.
INJURIES Three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata tweaked his hamstring while participating in the team’s conditioning test and was absent from the first full-squad practice. Left tackle Bryant McKinnie was not present because he is dealing with a “personal” matter. Right tackle Ramon Harewood rolled his ankle and did not return to practice. Players who are on the physically-unable-to-perform list include defensive end Pernell McPhee (arthroscopic knee surgery), offensive tackle Jah Reid (strained right calf), wide receiver/return specialist David Reed (knee surgery) and rookie guard Kelechi Osemele (back spasms). Five-time Pro Bowl outside linebacker and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Terrell Suggs (torn right Achilles tendon) is on the non-football injury list. Wide receivers Torrey Smith and LaQuan Williams were bothered by leg cramps, but eventually returned to practice.
OVERHEARD “[No.] 87, the trick is catching the ball!” – Inside linebacker Jameel McClain to rookie tight end Bruce Figgins after a pass floated through his hands.
