Pierce had predicted he would play all week. He was limited against the Denver Broncos, aggravating the knee injury first sustained against the Indianapolis Colts. Against the Broncos, Pierce was limping noticeably and rushed for only 14 yards on five carries after gaining 103 yards against the Colts.
The other players listed as questionable on the Ravens' final injury report are all active as well, including starting inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (sprained right ankle, back) and Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach (right knee, ankle), both of whom are slated to start. Reserve wide receiver David Reed (thigh) is also active and was questionable on the injury report.
The Patriots ruled out wide receiver Kamar Aiken, former Ravens safety Derrick Martin, cornerback Malcolm Williams, center Nick McDonald, offensive lineman Marcus Zusevics, defensive end Jake Bequette and defensive lineman Marcus Forston.
