“Bernard’s fine,” his agent Martin Magid told The Baltimore Sun on Tuesday. “The police are investigating the incident. Any questions about it should be forwarded to the Philadelphia Police Department. It’s not the best situation, but he’s good.”

The robbery and carjacking took place in the 7500 block of Haverford Avenue, according to CBS3 in Philadelphia, which first reported the story.
The report said that a gunman jumped from the passenger side of a car while his accomplice remained behind the wheel, and robbed Pierce and a male companion. The gunman proceeded to steal Pierce’s BMW, which was later found in another part of the city, according to CBS3. Pierce’s vehicle is being processed for potential evidence.
“It’s a shame something like this happens,” Magid said.
Pierce, 23, was unavailable for comment but a Ravens’ spokesman said that team officials have been in contact with the second-year running back and they are aware of the situation.
The Ravens drafted Pierce in the third round of the 2012 draft after he set Temple records in total touchdowns (54) and points scored (324). Serving as the primary backup for Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice, Pierce rushed for 532 yards and a touchdown in 16 games while also catching seven passes for 47 yards.
He also proved a threat during the Ravens’ run to a Super Bowl XLVII title as he rushed 39 times for 202 yards in four games. That included a 103-yard performance in a victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the wild card game.
While Rice is entrenched as the Ravens’ starting running back, Pierce is expected to have an even bigger role in the offense during the 2013-14 campaign.
