Ravens free safety Ed Reed rejoined his teammates at practice Thursday as he was upgraded to limited participation after sitting out the previous day.
While Reed deals with a knee injury and a torn labrum in his shoulder, four other starters were sidelined for the second consecutive day.
Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (right shoulder, right knee) didn't practice as well as defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh, right knee), offensive guard Bobbie Williams (left ankle) and Pro Bowl offensive guard Marshal Yanda (right knee).

Williams predicted he would play Sunday.
"I'm feeling well, and I expect to be out there," Williams said. "I'm going to keep getting better, getting the ankle right and doing what we can. I'm just going to take a day today."
Besides Reed, the following players were limited again: cornerback Jimmy Smith (groin), wide receiver David Reed (knee), offensive tackle Michael Oher (ankle), wide receiver Jacoby Jones (toe) and linebacker Josh Bynes (thigh).
Participating fully again: safety Sean Considine (chest), long snapper Morgan Cox (shoulder), inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (thumbs), nose guard Ma'ake Kemoeatu (sprained right knee), strong safety Bernard Pollard (ribs) and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (Achilles tendon).
For the Oakland Raiders, Sunday's opponent at M&T Bank Stadium, running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson (high-ankle sprains) didn't practice as well as defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee, hamstring) and cornerback Shawntae Spencer (foot).
The Raiders added tight end RIchard Gordon (hamstring) to the injury report as full participation.
The other Raiders on the injury report, but participating fully were offensive tackle Willie Smith (knee), fullback Marcel Reece (hamstring), linebacker Miles Burris (elbow), linebacker Keenan Clayton (shoulder), defensive tackle Desmond Bryant (cardiac), defensive end Matt Shaughnessy (shoulder), defensive end David Tollefson (shoulder), cornerback Coye Francies (thumb) and safety Mike Mitchell (finger).
