Oh gosh, "My Man" Kyle Boller back in town.
At first, I didn't believe the Ravens were serious and I still don't. I think the Ravens, especially GM Ozzie Newsome, is basically doing Boller and his agent a favor by circulating his name out there and letting other teams know that Boller is still available. It doesn't make much sense for the Ravens to put their staff, offense and even Boller under such scrutiny again by re-signing him.
But with all that said, I wouldn't have a problem with Boller being the No. 3 quarterback here. He is familiar with the offense, the scheme and the AFC North. He still has some elusiveness, and that's what you want in a quarterback who would basically serve as a stop gap.
Plus, I would love seeing him at the podium at a news conference with starter Joe Flacco. On one side, you'd have Mr. Excitement, Boller, who talks as fast as Alvin of the Chipmunks. And on the other would be Flacco, Mr. Cool, whose speech is so deliberate that it takes him 30 seconds to get out four words.
