Body of victim recovered from Big Four Ice Caves in Washington

VERLOT, Wash. The body of a 34-year-old woman killed in Monday's partial collapse of the Big Four Ice Caves in Washington's Cascade Range was recovered Tuesday despite treacherous conditions, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said. The victim was flown to the county's search-and-rescue facility, and transported by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office on Tuesday afternoon. Positive identification of the victim, as well as cause and manner of her death, will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
