Jon Lender is a reporter on the politics and government beat for the Hartford Courant. He writes the Courant’s Sunday investigative column, Government Watch, and appears regularly on television and radio. A reporter and editor for 40 years, he has received numerous regional and national journalism awards, including the 2004 George Polk Award for investigative stories by him and two other Courant reporters about corruption involving Connecticut Gov. John G. Rowland, who later served 10 months in federal prison.
