    For one night, it will take only creativity — not the gambling gods — to produce some loot. Mardi Gras Casino's annual Halloween costume contest will take place at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, with a $1,000 cash prize for best couple ($500 per person), and a $500 free-slot-play award for second. Individual prizes include $500 cash for first and $250 in bonus play for second for funniest, cutest, scariest, most original and casino theme.
