    For those of you who missed it, on April 1, Saudi authorities -- unnamed -- lifted a ban on women riding bikes -- but only if they "wear a full-body abaya, be accompanied by a male relative and stay within certain areas. They are allowed to bike for recreational purposes only, not as a primary mode of transportation," <a href="http://stream.aljazeera.com/story/201304022007-0022651" target="_blank">according to Al-Jazeera</a>. Some on Twitter were unimpressed -- or thought it was an April Fools' joke. I've never thought Saudi clerics were big on those kinds of jokes, though -- if they even knew it was April Fools' Day at all. So, progress?
