The learning place
Before you pack and start paying out-of-state tuition, consider how much local colleges have to offer.

Community colleges in Lehigh and Northampton counties are priced right for students on a budget. There's also a range of private and public colleges and universities all within driving distance. And whether your interest is basket-weaving or entrepreneuership, you can find credit and non-credit classes close to almost every neighborhood.

Lafayette College in Easton, home of the Leopards, is one of the most academically competitive, independent, undergraduate colleges in the nation. Founded in 1826 by the citizens of Easton, it now has an endowment worth $658 million.

The choices don't end there. The region also offers trade and technical schools, as well as art schools, that help fulfill the need to train for a new job, or just learn for personal enjoyment.
