You had three letters to the Public Voice in the Oct. 25 paper. One agrees with your editorial about Rep. Kristi Noem, R-S.D., one is for Noem, one is about our government and Congress that I believe states Noem's voting actions. You picked a headline that backs your view. Is that trying to form public opinion?
I believe Noem knew she was on the losing total of the vote, but was trying to point out that if Congress and Obama don't have the guts to pass a budget and live up to it our great country and our grandchildren, of which I have 22, will not have the opportunities that have been available to my generation and a huge debt to China.
Our government will soon be over $17 trillion in debt and that continues to grow. We have spent, according to NBC News, $685 million on the Affordable Care Act and are now hiring new groups to revise it. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said President Barack Obama was not informed that it wasn't ready. I believe that since this is his namesake bill he would have been involved more fully. You can keep your insurance, you can keep your doctor, it will be cheaper and the list goes on and on of his promises.
I would like some answers on Benghazi, why people on welfare can have free phones, the reason for the NSA listening to French and German officials' phone conversations, why the IRS has given $4 billion in income tax refunds to people that did not have them coming and why the Marine Corps is going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars designing their hats.
These are just a few on my questions!
