A 2-year-old boy has died after an apparent farm equipment accident on a private property in rural Hartland, Minn., on March 15.
According to the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office, the incident took place at 32603 670th Ave. Initial reports indicated a skidloader was involved.
"The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased," said Freeborn County Chief Deputy Glen Strom.
The name of the boy has not yet been released.
A Sheriff's Office news release stated the Hartland Fire Department, New Richland Ambulance and Gold Cross Ambulance crews responded to the scene.
The boy ultimately died at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating the death and is not releasing any further information at this time.
