Beverly Ann Lytle, 73, passed away Monday, June 20, 2013, at her home in Elkton. Beverly was born April 29, 1940, in Montevideo, Minn., to Arthur and Florence (Funk) Nyvold.
Beverly met and married John (Jack) Lytle on April 16, 1961, in Aberdeen, S.D. Jack and Bev were blessed with six children during their marriage.
Beverly was a member of the Elkton Women's Club for several years. She was also a member of the United Parish of Elkton, where she served as an organist for many years. She was also an elected member of the Elkton City Council for four years.
Beverly loved playing piano, reading, dancing, spending time with her grandchildren and wouldn't give up until she had as many family members as possible enjoying quilting as much as she did!
Bev is survived by her husband, Jack Lytle; three daughters: Rene Lytle (Linda), Elkton, S.D., Ronda Hurd (Patrick), Sioux Falls, S.D., Rochelle Lytle, Sioux Falls, S.D.; three sons: John Lytle (Pamela), Forest, Va., Don Lytle, Blair, Neb., Steve Lytle (Josenda), Prior Lake, Minn.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Dale Kahla; her sister, Patricia Jensen (Doug); nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathryn (Kay) Kahla.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at United Parish of Elkton, with burial in the Elkton City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Elkton.
