Apache Junction, Ariz.: On Sept. 20, 2011, Rollin Putt F. Bunsness of Apache Junction, Ariz., passed away suddenly at Mountain Vista Hospital in Mesa, Ariz
Rollin was born in Aberdeen, S.D., on Dec. 26, 1921, where he farmed for many years. In addition to farming, he cared for his parents and several siblings and was the last surviving member of the immediate family.
On Jan. 26, 1999, Rollin married Barbara L. Bunsness and relocated to Apache Junction, Ariz. He helped his community in many ways, including supporting the Apache Junction Food Bank, where donations can be made in his name.
Rollin is survived by his wife, Barbara; and his nieces: Beverly Robinson and Leslee Ahrens (Bob), Karen Bunsness, Karel Kamps (Bill), and Shareene Vorderbruggen (Joe); and nephew, Joseph Bunsness (Kellye). Families of the survivors include David Neitling (Thuy) and son, Garrett, Jennifer Rifani (Miki) and sons, Kai and Dane, Zachary Ahrens (Heidi) and children, Carter, Connor and Camrynn. Seth Ahrens and son, Kyler, Christopher Vorderbruggen (Shelley) and daughters, Katelyn and Emily, John Vorderbruggen and daughters, Isabelle, Leilah, Eva, Elye and Adeline, Daniel Vorderbruggen, Adrianna Vorderbruggen, Josef Bunsness, Marcus Bunsness, and Troy Ahrens, daughters, Amanda and Mackenzie.
