Connecticut Women's Expo Comes To Hartford

What could be better than this? Fashion shows, makeovers, prizes and soap hunks, all in one place. The Connecticut Women's Expo calls itself "the largest women's expo in the United States, with more than 450 exhibits and 22,000 attendees." This year's (12th annual!) event, which runs Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6 and 7, at the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Blvd., Hartford, also offers psychic readings, massages, henna tattoos, bridal and travel giveaways, and more.

Celebrity appearances include Sharalynn Kuziak, pictured, Miss Connecticut 2009, who will appear on the runway during the fashion show Sunday at noon; soap star Brady Black from "Days of Our Lives"; and WWE wrestlers Bad News Barrett and Rosa Mendes. Admission: $10. Children under 12 free. Information:
