The casting director is the unsung hero of Hollywood, finding the right actors for each role in a movie but not necessarily basking in the glow of a film's success. The documentary Casting By, showing Friday evening at the Ridgefield Playhouse, gives a glimpse inside the casting director's world, with a focus on Marion Dougherty and Lynn Stalmaster who put an end to the old studio system, resulting in movies like Midnight Cowboy, The Graduate and Bonnie and Clyde. After the screening there will be a Q&A with Casting By director Tom Donahue, executive producer John Balis and producer Ilan Arboleda.
