A current Olympian has decided to become a Tiger after first wanting to be a Hoosiers.

Columbus East quarterback Gunner Kiel committed to LSU on Tuesday night after a long period of decision following his decommitment to Indiana earlier in the fall.

The news was first reported by 247sports.com.

During the regular season  of his senior year with the Olympians,Kiel threw for 2,645 yards and 36 touchdown while also running for eight. His exploits helped the Olympians advance to the Semi State round of the IHSAA Class 4A playoffs.

LSU was one of three schools on Kiel's list along with Notre Dame and Vanderbilt. This came after the quarterback decided not to play for the Hoosiers and head coach Kevin Wilson in October, changing his mind less than three months after making the committment.
