The Colts have gone back to try and save their immediate quarterback future.
On Tuesday afternoon the team resigned quarterback Dan Orlovsky to the active roster to serve as the third backup quarterback.
Orlovsky spent the preseason with the Colts before being cut a week before the season. During the four games he was 25-fo-52 passing for 385 yards with three touchdowns compared to three interceptions.
The move give the Colts a quarterback with starting experience in the NFL, but his one time as a starter was rocky. That came with the Detroit Lions of 2008, where as an on again, off again starter he failed to win a game.
