The injury plagued season that began with Virginia Tech ranked as the third best team in the ACC and a top 25 team in the country came to an end this weekend.
The careers of some distinguished Tech Seniors also came to a close, with a second round loss to Wichita State in the NIT.
Jeff Allen and Malcolm Delaney did not make a trip to the NCAA tournament despite 87 career wins.
However, Allen finishes his career as the first player in ACC history to notch 16 hundred career points, 11 hunderd career rebounds, 200 career steals and 150 career blocks.
Malcolm Delaney finishes his time in Blacksburg just four assists shy of tying the Virginia Tech record for most career helpers. Bimbo Coles currently holds that record.
Delaney is also third all-time on the Virginia Tech scoring list!
