The Glenvar Highlanders went 6-4 in 2010; they relied heavily on the run with Seniors Cory Bolden and Tim Woods in the backfield.  Both those running backs are gone but Kevin Clifford has plenty of experience back on offense.  He is projected to have 9 or 10 senior starters on the offensive side of the ball when the Highlanders open the season at home against Galax on August 26.

One of this year's seniors is Seth Dooley, who has committed to play football at Virginia Tech.  Dooley is a relative newcomer to football, but won't have any problems with people knowing who he is before the football is even snapped.

"I don't think Seth really cares, he is a happy go lucky kid.  He works hard, he is a team oriented person, he only wants to see the team do well.  He will play anywhere we ask him, he would snap the ball if we asked him. He is just going to roll with it, and I don't think it is going to affect him at all." Said Clifford.
