What To Watch

Sandwich Game: Coming off an emotional win over Indiana, and with Florida in Dec. 2, UConn could be tempted to sleep on this opponent — which could be costly.

Coaching DNA: Loyola coach G.G. Smith, in his first season, is the son of Tubby Smith. He has Loyola off to its best start in eight years.

On the defensive: Boatright and Daniels were on the bench, Giffey and Lasan Kromah in for the final minutes against Indiana. Ollie likes to play matchup on defense, as he reads the game.

Dylon's Deal: UConn will be looking for a team-defense approach against Cormier, which has been effective against other big scorers they've played.

Big By Committee: Tyler Olander played 24 minutes off the bench against Indiana. UConn's big men, Nolan and Amida Brimah, have been foul prone, so the depth at that spot has paid off.

Napier's Time: Shabazz Napier usually starts out conservatively with his shooting, but if teammates are not scoring he can, and will, put the load on his shoulders in the second half.
