OF Grady Sizemore, who resurrected his career in a part-time role with the Phillies this season, re-signed with Philadelphia on Oct. 23 rather than test the free agent market. He received a one-year, $2 million contract. The Phillies signed Sizemore to a minor league contract on June 24 after he was released by the Boston Red Sox. He was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on July 11 and spent the rest of the season with the Phillies. Sizemore hit .233/.299/.354 with five homers overall in 2014, and he batted .253/.313/.389 with three homers in 60 games with the Phillies.
