Saturday -- The Daytona BMX track is holding a summer series. The next races are scheduled for Friday, and then Oct. 14 and Nov. 4, and all will begin at 7:30 p.m. Practice will be from 6-7 p.m. The fee is $10 per race. The championship race is set for Dec. 2, and a rider must compete in at least three races to qualify for that. Details: floridabmx.com.

Oct. 14 -- The 5th Annual Hospice 5k Run & Walk at The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange. Registration begins at 6:45 a.m. and the timed competitive 5K run, along with a 5K walk, begins at 8 a.m.
Oct. 12-15 -- Dew Action Sports Tour stop, TD Waterhouse Centre.
Sept. 30 -- Performance Gravel Tour stop No. 5, Orlando Watersports Complex.
Today -Saturday -- U.S. Open Water Ski Championships, Polk City/Lake Buena Vista.
Sept. 30-Oct. 1 -- Ski Nautique Big Dawg Slalom Series Championship, Winter Garden.
Oct. 13-15 -- International Kneeboard Rider Cup, Lake Alfred.
Oct. 21 -- USA Water Ski Pro-Am Challenge, Polk City.
