In case you missed it, Hamlin turned Logano when the two were racing for second last weekend at Bristol. After the race, Logano paid Hamlin a visit on pit road. A little pushing and shoving, a little yelling followed.
"That's a freaking genius behind the wheel of the 11 car --probably the worst teammate I ever had," Logano said. "He decided to run in the back of me, so, whatever. I have a scorecard and I'm not putting up with that. What goes around comes around."
Of course, this actually started a few weeks earlier after Daytona, when the two shared a twitter spat. When he was asked if the two had a problem, Logano replied: "If we didn't, we do now. Tweet that."
Hamlin took to twitter after last week's race as well saying, "Last time I checked he had my cell and direct message button to choose from if he's got a problem.. Otherwise hush little child."
It's doubtful that the two will settle any score this week at Fontana. The Auto Club Speedway is just too big and fast. It's just too dangerous a place to be settling scores, but Logano made it clear this weekend this is not over.
As for this weekend's race, it's another week, another track where Jimmie Johnson has got to be considered a hands on favorite. JJ has five wins in California, but none since 2010.
“I think it’s going to be a fun race. We have a lot of race track to race on," said Johnson. "We’re all getting smarter about the (new Generation 6) cars. I’m excited that Lowe’s is allowing me to have my foundation’s colors on the race car. That combination has been awfully successful for us over the years.”
Recently, Tony Stewart has been the man at Auto Club, winning two of the last three races. Other Drivers with Fontana wins include Matt Kenseth (3), Jeff Gordon (3), Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Kurt and Kyle Busch.
