Jones quietly optimistic about Cowboys

Jerry Jones has already given the Philadelphia Eagles a bit advice about
thinking they are Super Bowl-bound because of their high-profile free agent
additions.

"Well, that happened to us last year, and I can share with them or anybody
else -- just because it looks good on paper, doesn't mean it's going to work,"
Jones said. "I stand as a very vivid, live example of that."

We all know what happened to the Cowboys.

They opened the 2010 season talking about becoming the first team to play
in the Super Bowl in their own stadium. But that was before they began a
dreadful 1-7, fired coach Wade Phillips at midseason and then finished an
embarrassing 6-10.

But while Jones is not in the business of predicting a Super Bowl run for
this season, he is also not ready to concede failure. He likes the
below-the-radar offseason moves he's made in the offseason and believes the
Cowboys will turn things around.
