Opening Day Of Trout Fishing Season

It was opening day of the trout fishing season Saturday and anglers flocked to Valley Falls Park in Vernon, one of the state's designated trout parks, to try their hand at catching a big one. The state DEEP (Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection) Fisheries Division has stocked 381,000 trout this season and was on hand to stock more fish with the help of the children Saturday morning.
