What To Watch
Winning streak: Villanova is one of the few original Big East programs to enjoy even a modicum of success against the Huskies, but it's a brief one: a two-game winning streak on March 11, 2003 and Feb. 28, 2004. Villanova is honoring the 2002-03 team that won the Big East championship by upsetting No. 1 UConn and ending its 70-game winning streak. UConn has won the past nine meetings. The Wildcats have not scored 50 in the past seven tries.
What a game: Did you hear about the Villanova-Providence game last week? The Wildcats lost 65-60 in overtime despite being in complete control (29-10) at halftime thanks to a 21-0 run that lasted more than 12 minutes. Providence then scored the first 21 points of the second half. The Wildcats bounced back with a 64-59 win over nationally ranked Syracuse on Saturday.
Home game: Roberts was born in Manchester and was a three-time, first-team All-State selection by the Connecticut High School Coaches' Association, the Courant and the New Haven Register at Mercy-Middletown High. As a junior in 2007-08, she averaged 22.5 points and 7.8 rebounds. She scored 1,700 points and ranks second all-time in scoring at Mercy and was a two-time conference MVP.
