Sam Chalanga of Kenya won his first Manchester Road Race, finishing the 4.748-mile course in 21 minutes, 31 seconds, on Thursday morning.
Just came back to Carter Chevrolet from my annual stroll to the start line of the Manchester Road Race and saw a bunch of the regular crazies that usually populate the ranks of 15,000 runners that make up the race.
Another record breaking year?
Aaron Braun, who tied the course record at the Manchester Road Race last year, said Wednesday night at the pre-race pasta dinner that he's in better shape than last year but he's not sure if he will be able to break the record this year because the weather might not be conducive to that.
So the Little Manchester Road Race has grown into an extremely popular event.
