1. D Needs to Get Back On Course

The UConn defense turned its poorest effort of the season against Western Michigan. The best way to respond this week is to turn in one of its best. It shouldn¿t be about Buffalo. This is about UConn. The Huskies will be heavily favored and it would serve them well to play like a heavily favored team, especially at home. UConn¿s defense, despite an off game, hasn¿t allowed 100 yards to any running back, and Buffalo¿s starter, Branden Olive, likely is out with a leg injury. The Huskies are 11th in the nation in pass defense. For a lot of reasons, the Huskies should be looking to copy the performance it had against its first MAC opponent, a 37-0 win against UMass, and not the last, 30-24 loss at Western Michigan.
