Week 2 of the NFL exhibition season is in the books and 29 players with Connecticut connections remain on NFL rosters. Teams must cut down to 75 by 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Week 2 standout performances go to a pair of former Huskies. Veteran QB Dan Orlovsky, back in Detroit where his pro career started, completed 8 of 12 passes for 153 yards. He's 20 of 35 for 242 yards in the exhibition season. DB Dwayne Gratz started his second game at left corner for the Jaguars and led the team with six tackles. Another former Husky, Washington's Nick Williams, became the first state connection to break into the scoring column, catching a 30-yard TD pass late in the Redskins' win against Cleveland.

BILLS - Marcus Easley, WR, UConn: Had one pass thrown his way vs. Steelers.

BRONCOS - Terrance Knighton, DL, Windsor: Started at nose tackle and had two tackles in win against 49ers.

BUCCANEERS - Danny Lansanah, LB, UConn: Had two tackles in loss to Dolphins.

CARDINALS - Matt Shaughnessy, DL, Norwich: Started but had no stats vs. Vikings.

CHARGERS - Donald Brown, RB, UConn; Kendall Reyes, DL, UConn; and Dwight Freeney, DL, Bloomfield: Brown started and carried six times for 16 yards and caught two passes for 13 vs. Seattle. Reyes started at left defensive end and had one tackle and forced a fumble. Freeney, not expected to play much in exhibition season as he returns from quadriceps injury that ended his 2013 season, sat out for the second straight week.

CHIEFS - Anthony Sherman, FB, UConn; and Marcus Cooper, CB, Bloomfield: Cooper started at left cornerback and had one tackle vs. the Panthers. Sherman, coming off the bench, had no stats.

COLTS - Donald Thomas, OL, UConn, and Darius Butler, DB, UConn: Thomas is on IR and out for the season. Butler came off the bench vs. Giants and had no stats.

FALCONS - Robert McClain, CB, UConn; and Yawin Smallwood, LB, UConn: McClain had a tackle on defense and an assist on special teams vs. Houston. Smallwood played but had no stats.

GIANTS - Will Beatty, OT, UConn: Started at left tackle vs. Colts.

JAGUARS - Dwayne Gratz, DB, UConn; and Jordan Todman, RB, UConn: Gratz, at LCB, started vs. Bears and led the team in tackles with six. It was his second straight start. Todman had a team-leading eight carries for 18 yards, and caught three passes for 24 yards. He also returned a kickoff 29 yards.

LIONS - Dan Orlovsky, QB, UConn; and Julian Stanford, LB, Bloomfield: Orlovsky completed 8 of 12 passes for 153 yards and had a passer rating of 109.7 vs. Oakland. Stanford had no stats in a reserve role.

RAIDERS - Tyvon Branch. SS, UConn; Sio Moore, LB, UConn; and Kory Sheets, RB, Bloomfield: Branch started at strong safety against the Lions and had three tackles. Moore started at linebacker and had four tackles. Sheets had five carries for 27 yards and had two catches for 1 yard.

REDSKINS - Nick Williams, WR, UConn; Rob Jackson, LB, West Haven; Jordan Reed, TE, New London; and Chris Baker, DL, Windsor: Reed started at tight end vs. Cleveland and caught two passes for 20 yards. Baker started at left defensive end and had no stats. Jackson had two tackles and half of a sack. Williams caught one pass, a 30-yarder from Colt McCoy, for a TD late in the game.

STEELERS - Kashif Moore, WR, UConn: Had one reception for 12 yards in win against Bills.

TEXANS - Ryan Griffin, UConn, TE: Griffin had no receptions and three passes thrown his way in win against Falcons.

TITANS - Blidi Wreh-Wilson, DB, UConn: Started at CB vs. the Saints and had one tackle for a loss.

VIKINGS - Shamar Stephen, DT, Vikings: Had three assists on tackles in win against Cardinals.
