Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh's appeal was denied today by Art Shell and the NFL. Suh will now sit out the next two Lions games and won't be allowed to practice with the team unitl December 12.
Suh was appealing the suspension handed down by the NFL for his stomp on Evan Deitrich-Smith in the Lions' loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.
The Lions released a statement from President Tom Lewand after the decision was announced. "We respect the disciplinary process," said Lewand. "Obviously, today's ruling does not impact our preparations for this week's game. We remain exclusively focused on the New Orleans Saints."
Suh is the first player under the new CBA to be suspended for an on the field incident
