1. Da'Shawn Hand | DE
High School: Woodbridge Senior High (Woodbridge).
Height/Weight: 6-foot-5/257 pounds.
College situation: He's narrowed his choices down to Alabama, Florida and Michigan — all of which have offered him scholarships. Said he has about 94 offers, including from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Florida State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Maryland and Boston College.
Why he made the Fab 15: He finished his junior season with 78 unassisted tackles, including 28 for losses and 16 sacks. None of the major recruiting services has him rated outside the top four overall recruits in the nation for the class of 2014.
2. Andrew Brown | DT
High School: Oscar Smith High (Chesapeake).
College situation: Committed to Virginia. His other finalists among nearly 30 offers were Virginia Tech, Alabama, FSU and Clemson. Also had offers from Georgia Tech, N.C. State, UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, Miami, Maryland, Syracuse and West Virginia.
Why he made the Fab 15: After logging 83 tackles, including 14 for losses and 11 sacks, and four forced fumbles, he further established himself as the nation's top defensive tackle prospect in the eyes of the recruiting services. He has enough speed, agility and hand violence to move to defensive end in college.
3. Quin Blanding | S
High School: Bayside High (Virginia Beach).
College situation: Committed to U.Va. Other finalists among about 25 were FSU, Clemson, UNC, Miami, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan and West Virginia. Also had offers from Virginia Tech, Old Dominion, Maryland and East Carolina.
Why he made the Fab 15: While his receiving numbers last season were impressive enough (55 catches for 1,035 yards and six touchdowns), he made his mark as a defensive back, with 111 tackles and five interceptions on his way to earning Beach District defensive player of the year honors. At The Opening, a prestigious recruiting camp in Oregon in the first week in July for about 150 of the top rising seniors in the country, he was one of the three most productive defensive backs.
