Its seems as though spring may have finally made its way to the door step of Connecticut this weekend as the habitual and seasonal creature know as the golfer appeared Friday afternoon at the opening of the Southington Country Club public golf course 150 Savage St., in Southington. By mid-afternoon players had flooded onto the course to take their first swing of the season. For many, including Meriden resident Nelson Algarin, playing a round of golf on Good Friday has become a tradition. Plus, said Algarin, "Your score can only get better from here."
