Fish with electronics

Tuesday, July 9: Captain Tom Hughes of Tom Hughes Guide Service will speak at the July meeting of the Northwest Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association. He'll discuss how to set up and read your electronics to help you find and catch more fish. The meeting will be at the Patapsco Council No. 1960 Knights of Columbus Hall at 1010 Frederick Road, Catonsville. Please use the Beaumont Avenue (side) entrance. Aberdeen 'Streak'

Sept. 6: The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation will host its inaugural "Streak Thru Aberdeen" 7K Run at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, the anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr. breaking Lou Gehrig's streak of consecutive baseball games played. Proceeds will support Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation programs, which help build character and teach life lessons to underserved youth in distressed communities through sports-themed programming.
