Digest: Blast starts fast, routs Silver Knights, 27-13

Men's college lacrosse: All 13 of Navy's regular-season games this spring will be broadcast on the radio. WNAV (1430 AM, 99.9 FM) will air the action, with Pete Medhurst returning for his 15th season as the voice of Navy lacrosse and Joe Miller providing commentary.

Men's college track and field: Coppin State sophomore Jeremy Dorsey was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week.

Women's college track and field: Coppin State senior Alexis Easterling was named the MEAC Field Athlete of the Week. Coppin sophomore Melissa Caddle was named MEAC Track Athlete of the Week.

Minor league basketball: Bay Area Shuckers guard Terry Hosley (Parkville/Maryland Bible College) was named American Professional Basketball League Southern Conference Player of the Week for his 38 points, two rebounds, seven assists, and four steals in a Shuckers' 128-124 overtime win against the Winchester Storm on Jan. 5.

Varsity boys cross country: William Bertrand (Clarksburg) was named the 2012-13 Gatorade Maryland Runner of the Year.
