A day before the Ravens will have to make a decision on whether to activate him for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, middle linebacker Ray Lewis was on the practice field for the second straight day.
Lewis, who hasn't played since Week Six because of a torn right triceps muscle, is eligible to come off injured reserve with a designation for return in time for Sunday's game. The Ravens will have to activate him by 4 p.m. tomorrow in order for him to play versus the Broncos.
Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, who practiced in full yesterday with his torn biceps and called himself a game-time decision, also was on the practice field this morning.
Fullback Vonta Leach (sprained ankle) and defensive end Pernell McPhee (groin/thigh) were practicing for the first time this week. Limited all week, running backs Ray Rice (hip) and Bernard Pierce (back), tight end Ed Dickson (knee), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle), defensive tackle Arthur Jones (shoulder) also were active.
Right guard Marshal Yanda (ankle), linebacker Jameel McClain and safety Bernard Pollard (chest) were not practicing for a third straight day. For the Ravens, players who don't practice all week typically don't play Sunday. McClain has already been ruled out for the game.
If Yanda can't play, Bobbie Williams would likely start in his place. If Pollard can't go, James Ihedigbo is his likely replacement.
