He was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team after averaging a team-leading 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and an ACC-leading 2.8 steals per game as a junior with the Terps. Francis led Maryland to 28 wins and an NCAA Sweet Sixteen berth in 1999 before leaving College Park for the NBA.
