What he lacked in talent, the 6-foot-3 guard made up for with a tenacity that earned him three <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="15008001" title="NBA" href="/topic/sports/basketball/nba-15008001.topic">NBA</a> titles, two of them when he first joined the league with the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000101" title="Houston Rockets" href="/topic/sports/basketball/houston-rockets-ORSPT000101.topic">Houston Rockets</a> (1994 and 1995). A first-round pick from Florida State, Cassell scored nearly 16,000 career points, a 15.7 average.
