"Marshal is making very good progress," Harbaugh said. "I'd call it a strain, nothing serious. He could have played in the game if it had been a regular-season game."
Rookie wide receiver Tommy Streeter sprained his foot and underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam to determine the extent of the damage. The sixth-round draft pick didn't practice Saturday after catching a touchdown against the Jaguars.
Several other players didn't practice, including linebackers Darryl Blackstock (groin, ankle), Stevie Baggs (undisclosed), Ricky Brown (undisclosed) and Josh Bynes (cracked vertebrae), safeties Emanuel Cook, who underwent season-ending surgery on his broken right leg, and Sean Considine (concussion), defensive lineman Ryan McBean (broken left ankle) and offensive tackle Jah Reid (strained right calf).
Considine suffered a more serious concussion Thursday after incurring a minor concussion the previous week.
"He's working through that, but he should be fine," Harbaugh said.
Pro Bowl outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (right Achilles tendon surgery) is on the non-football injury list, and wide receiver-return specialist David Reed (ACL surgery) remains on the physically unable to perform list.
