Because the Orioles can submit a new roster before Sunday’s first ALDS game, if they win tonight and continue their season, Friday’s roster was expected to be reliever heavy and starting pitcher short – and it is.

The Rangers have included lefty starters Matt Harrison and Derek Holland, in case they need them for a matchup or an inning. Harrison is expected to be the Rangers’ Game 1 starter in the ALDS, if they make it.
Both teams were required to submit their rosters to MLB by 10 a.m., but the Orioles didn't release theirs to the media until about four hours before gametime.
Here is the Orioles’ 25-man roster:
Catchers (2): Taylor Teagarden, Matt Wieters.
Infielders (7): Robert Andino, Ryan Flaherty, J.J. Hardy, Manny Machado, Omar Quintanilla, Mark Reynolds, Jim Thome.
Outfielders (5): Endy Chavez, Chris Davis, Lew Ford, Adam Jones, Nate McLouth.
RH Pitchers (7): Jake Arrieta, Luis Ayala, Tommy Hunter, Jim Johnson, Steve Johnson, Darren O’Day, Pedro Strop.
LH Pitchers: (4) Zach Britton, Brian Matusz, Troy Patton, Joe Saunders.
