164. Gus Triandos, baseball

He was the modern Orioles' first power hitter, a swarthy fan favorite whose 30 home runs in 1958 tied the American League mark for catchers. A four-time All-Star, Triandos caught -- and homered in -- the Orioles' first no-hitter, Hoyt Wilhelm's 1-0 victory over the New York Yankees. He introduced the oversized mitt used to chase Wilhelm's knuckleballs. Triandos is one of three Orioles to have a street named for him here. Baltimore Sun
