The Hall of Fame shortstop played five years for the Orioles, where he won the only championship of his 18-year career. That year (1966) he won a Gold Glove -- his second with the Birds -- and finished second in the American League in hits (182). With Brooks Robinson, Aparicio formed the "Leather Curtain" on the left side of the infield. During the '66 pennant run, he had three five-hit games.
