32. Renaldo Nehemiah, track and field

For a while, College Park was home to the world's best high hurdler. At Maryland, Nehemiah twice smashed the world record in the 110-meter hurdles in 1979, won three NCAA titles and four national championships. A five-time All-American, "Skeets" was the first to break 13 seconds in the event (12.93). The USA Track & Field Hall of Famer was denied a shot at the gold medal in the 1980 Olympics because of the U.S. boycott. Baltimore Sun photo
