U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski had this memory to share: "I remember those days at Memorial Stadium. I loved it. I grew up in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100603011800" title="Highlandtown" href="/topic/us/maryland/baltimore-county/baltimore/highlandtown-PLGEO100100603011800.topic">Highlandtown</a>, and we took the Number 22 bus there. Baseball is part of our identity. In 1977, when Brooks said goodbye and we said, "Thanks, Brooks, for staying," there wasn't a dry eye in the house or an empty seat at the stadium."
