The Sioux Falls Storm defeated the Cedar Rapids Titans 44-20 Saturday night at the Sioux Falls Arena in the United Conference Championship game of the Indoor Football League. The Storm (11-5) will host the Nebraska Danger (11-4) of the IFL’s Intense Conference on June 29 at the arena in the United Bowl.
The Storm have won six United Bowl championships since 2005, including the last two titles. They have also won the last 32 games at the arena. The multi-purpose arena can hold 4,760 people for Storm games.
Area players on the team include Storm wide receiver and Doland graduate Blake Wilson, Aberdeen Central graduate Cory Johnsen, and Storm safety and Aberdeen Roncalli graduate Dan O’Keefe.
