1987 -- Steve Markley pitched a two-hitter to lead Bielke Construction to a 13-3 victory over Selby in the first game of an amateur baseball doubleheader. John Zulk and Shaun Wanner had extra-base hits as Bielke won the nightcap 18-5.
1992 -- Justin Roggenkamp and Anthony Kunz combined to pitch a two-hitter as Eureka rallied to split a VFW Teener baseball doubleheader with Mobridge. Mobridge won the first game 10-5 as Ryan Kelly, Toby Mauck and Scott Schneider had three hits apiece. Eureka claimed the nightcap 3-2.
2002 -- Phil Mickelson carded a 64 in the final round to finish with a four-round total of 14-under par 266 and win the Greater Hartford Open golf tournament. Mickelson earned $720,000 for his win.
2007 -- Christian Sierra, Kyle Downey and Alex Prado had two hits each and Doug Metz struck out 10 batters in a complete-game effort to lead Aberdeen Orthopedics to a 4-2 amateur baseball victory over the Watertown Buzz.
2011 -- Miguel Tejada and Cody Ross drove in runs and Tim Lincecum struck out 12 batters in seven innings, leading the San Francisco Giants snap a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
