Summer clearance sales are on the calendar this week.

>>Sew up savings at the Sudberry House garage sales in Old Saybrook. On the first three Saturdays in August, the company’s products, including needlepoint and cross-stitch canvases, embroidery CDs, gifts, and wood accessories designed for displaying stitchery projects, are available at deeply discounted prices.
