>>Expressions Pottery holds a seconds sale at Auer Farm, 158 Auer Farm Road, off Route 185, in Bloomfield, on Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Eleven potters are participating and most items are priced between $1 and $15. Information: expressionspottery.com.

>>The Avon Junior Women’s Club will hold a “Whale of a Sale” Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11, at the Avon Senior Center, 635 W. Avon Road, Avon. The spring kids’ consignment event will feature baby gear, toys, sports equipment and clothing. Friday’s hours are 5 to 8 p.m.; admission is $5. Admission is free on Saturday, when the hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. From noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, many items are half-price. Information: ajwc-ct.org.

>>Macy’s at Westfarms hold a spring fashion runway show on Saturday, April 11, at 2 p.m. The event features music, giveaways and free mini-makeovers.

>>Neckers, a Simsbury toy store, holds an anniversary celebration and sale Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, with savings on merchandise storewide. Neckers is at 1591 Hopmeadow St. Information: 860-658-5783.

>>Road trip! Casafina, a Brewster, N.Y., wholesale business specializing in high-end imports, will hold a spring sale through Sunday, April 12. Sale items include discontinued, one-of-a-kind and samples of linens, gourmet foods, dinnerware and garden items at savings of up to 70 percent off retail. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Sunday, when it is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All sales are final. Casafina is at 301 Fields Lane, Brewster, about a 90-minute drive from Hartford. >>Watch for Black Friday deals in April at The Home Depot. The home improvement chain will hold sales on garden gear, gas grills and patio sets.
