The bad news is that you’ve paid your taxes and your wallet’s almost empty. The good news is local businesses and national chains are offering financial relief with a range of Tax Day deals.
Reminder: Tax Day is April 18 this year for most states instead of the traditional April 15 date. This delay is because the Internal Revenue Service recognizes Emancipation Day, observed by the District of Columbia on April 15. The filing deadline is Monday. (Maine and Massachusetts residents have an April 19 deadline due to their official observance of Patriots Day on April 18.)
